When all the lights are on at once, it’s hard to see clearly.

If you’ve been wondering why everything feels so intense, chaotic, and overwhelming right now, I have an explanation that might help you make sense of it all. We’re living in the excess of all chakras simultaneously—something that has never happened before in human history.

Understanding this phenomenon is crucial because it explains why traditional approaches to personal and collective healing aren’t working, and why we need completely new strategies for navigating this unprecedented time.

The Chakra Excess Pattern

In individual chakra development, when a new chakra opens, the one below it often becomes excessive. This is a natural part of the integration process—the system needs to find balance between the new energy and the existing patterns.

For example, when someone’s heart chakra opens, their solar plexus might become excessive, leading to ego inflation or power struggles. When the throat chakra opens, the heart might become excessive, leading to emotional overwhelm or codependency.

This excess phase is temporary and necessary—it’s how the system learns to integrate new levels of consciousness. But it can be challenging to navigate because the excess energy creates dysfunction in areas that were previously balanced.

The Collective Excess Phenomenon

What’s happening to humanity right now is that we’ve activated all our collective chakras over the past century, but we haven’t yet learned to integrate them. So instead of having one chakra in excess while we integrate it, we have ALL of them in excess simultaneously.

This creates a perfect storm of dysfunction across every level of human experience.

Base Chakra Excess: Survival Fundamentalism

The base chakra governs survival, security, and belonging. When it’s balanced, it provides stability and groundedness. When it’s excessive, it creates fundamentalism, extreme nationalism, and survival-based thinking even when survival isn’t actually threatened.

We see this in: – Political extremism and tribal thinking – Hoarding behaviors and resource anxiety – Xenophobia and fear of “the other” – Rigid adherence to traditional structures even when they’re no longer functional – Climate change denial and resistance to necessary changes

The base chakra excess makes people cling to familiar structures and resist change, even when change is necessary for actual survival.

Sacral Chakra Excess: Creative Dysfunction

The sacral chakra governs creativity, sexuality, and emotional expression. When balanced, it brings joy, creativity, and healthy sexuality. When excessive, it creates addiction, sexual dysfunction, and creative chaos without purpose.

We see this in: – Pornography addiction and sexual objectification – Social media addiction and attention-seeking behavior – Creative output without depth or meaning – Emotional volatility and drama addiction – Pleasure-seeking that becomes compulsive rather than fulfilling

The sacral excess creates a culture obsessed with stimulation but unable to find genuine satisfaction.

Solar Plexus Excess: Narcissistic Individualism

The solar plexus governs personal power, identity, and individual will. When balanced, it creates healthy self-esteem and effective action. When excessive, it creates narcissism, power struggles, and extreme individualism.

We see this in: – Narcissistic personality traits becoming normalized – “Hustle culture” and burnout from overwork – Extreme individualism that ignores collective needs – Social media culture focused on personal branding – Economic systems that prioritize individual wealth over collective wellbeing

The solar plexus excess creates a culture where everyone is trying to be special and powerful, but few are actually effective or fulfilled.

Heart Chakra Excess: Emotional Overwhelm

The heart chakra governs love, compassion, and emotional connection. When balanced, it creates genuine intimacy and compassion. When excessive, it creates emotional overwhelm, codependency, and trauma obsession.

We see this in: – Trauma becoming a central identity rather than something to heal from – Emotional overwhelm being mistaken for spiritual sensitivity – Codependent relationships and boundary issues – Compassion fatigue and empathic overwhelm – Mental health challenges reaching epidemic proportions

The heart excess creates a culture drowning in feelings but struggling to find emotional regulation and genuine intimacy.

Throat Chakra Excess: Communication Chaos

The throat chakra governs communication, expression, and truth. When balanced, it creates clear communication and authentic expression. When excessive, it creates information overload, attention fragmentation, and the confusion between having a voice and having something valuable to say.

We see this in: – Information overload and attention deficit – Everyone talking, nobody listening – Social media platforms designed for reactive rather than thoughtful communication – The spread of misinformation and conspiracy theories – Communication becoming performative rather than connective

The throat excess creates a world where everyone has a platform but few have developed the wisdom to use it responsibly.

Third Eye Excess: Spiritual Materialism

The third eye governs intuition, spiritual insight, and higher perception. When balanced, it brings genuine spiritual wisdom and clear perception. When excessive, it creates spiritual bypassing, mystical materialism, and the confusion between spiritual experiences and spiritual development.

We see this in: – Spiritual bypassing of practical and emotional work – Toxic positivity and spiritual materialism – Conspiracy theories and magical thinking – Spiritual experiences being collected rather than integrated – The commercialization of spirituality without depth

The third eye excess creates a culture obsessed with spiritual experiences but lacking in spiritual maturity.

The Perfect Storm Effect

When all these excesses happen simultaneously, they create what I call the “perfect storm effect”—each excess amplifies and triggers the others, creating cascading dysfunction across all levels of human experience.

For example: – Base chakra fear triggers solar plexus power struggles – Solar plexus narcissism triggers heart chakra emotional reactivity – Heart chakra overwhelm triggers throat chakra communication chaos – Throat chakra information overload triggers third eye spiritual confusion – Third eye spiritual bypassing triggers base chakra survival fears

This creates feedback loops that make the dysfunction self-perpetuating and increasingly intense.

Why Traditional Solutions Don’t Work

Most approaches to personal and collective healing are designed to work with one chakra at a time, or with a few chakras in sequence. But when all chakras are excessive simultaneously, these approaches can actually make things worse.

For example: – Traditional therapy focuses on emotional processing (heart chakra), but this can increase overwhelm when the heart is already excessive – Meditation practices focus on spiritual development (third eye), but this can increase spiritual bypassing when the third eye is already excessive – Political activism focuses on power and change (solar plexus), but this can increase conflict when the solar plexus is already excessive

The Integration Imperative

The solution isn’t to shut down any of the chakras—they’re all activated for important evolutionary reasons. The solution is to learn to integrate all of them simultaneously.

This requires: – Conscious awareness of which chakras are excessive in yourself and your environment – Energetic regulation skills that can work with multiple chakras at once – Spiritual discernment that can distinguish between activation and excess – Practical wisdom that can navigate complexity without becoming overwhelmed – Collective cooperation that can hold space for integration at scale

The Transcendent Response

This is why we need what I call the Transcendent archetype—humans who have learned to integrate all levels of consciousness and can hold space for others to do the same. [Transmission opening]

Transcendents aren’t people who have transcended their humanity—they’re people who have learned to work skillfully with all aspects of human consciousness, including the excessive aspects.

They can: – Feel deeply without being overwhelmed by emotion – Think clearly without being trapped in mental loops – Act powerfully without becoming narcissistic – Communicate authentically without adding to the noise – Access spiritual states without bypassing practical reality – Maintain stability without becoming rigid

The Evolutionary Opportunity

The excess of all chakras isn’t a problem to be solved—it’s an evolutionary opportunity to be embraced. We’re being forced to develop levels of consciousness integration that have never been required before.

This is humanity’s initiation into its next evolutionary phase. And like all initiations, it’s intense, challenging, and ultimately transformative.

The chaos isn’t punishment—it’s preparation. We’re being prepared to hold levels of power, creativity, love, communication, and spiritual awareness that our species has never had access to before. But first, we have to learn to integrate them without being destroyed by them.
