Given the importance of consciously forming, holding and respecting values, I’m taking the opportunity to share our CETfreedom values.
Values are what we believe to be true – about the world and ourselves. Beliefs and values direct our lives. They give us permission to do, or justify us not doing things. If we don’t believe we can do something, we will never be able to. If we believe we can do something but it’s not important to us, it has no value, and we will not be motivated to do it. If we think we can, we can. If we want to, we will.
Values are at the very core of our identity; who we are. The person we understand ourselves to be. Our identity is very resilient, although we can build, develop and change it.
I am always interested and inspired to know more about the values of others. We can all grow and develop by welcoming, and where appropriate embracing, ideas that may at first seem alien. If you are willing to share your values, or your thoughts around your own, or ours at CETfreedom, please email lisa@cetfreedom.com or start a conversation on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/cetfreedom.
To your values, vision and identity,
Dr Lisa Turner
