Stage 3 - Seeker

As a seeker you have questions you want answers. The Seeker stage represents your transformative journey fuelled by unquenchable curiosity and an insatiable thirst for knowledge.

You are characterized by your open-mindedness, willingness to explore new ideas, and a profound desire for personal transformation.

You embark on inner and outer adventures, questioning the status quo and seeking answers to life’s deeper questions.

Dissatisfied with conventional paradigms, you embrace change, developing clarity about your life’s purpose and the need for alignment. With courage and resilience, you navigate the unsettling awareness that the old way of living no longer fits, integrating newfound wisdom and moving forward on a path of self-discovery and authenticity.

Qualities of a Seeker

You might be drawn to read books, to attend workshops, experience healing or get coaching. You desire to move, to change, but may not know yet where or into what.

As you actively seek out answers, and you discover new knowledge, new philosophies and new understanding. You experiment and open to new ideas. You try different therapies, coaching, healing, meditation etc.

As your knowledge and understanding grows, you start to become dissatisfied with the state of the world or your life. Your new understanding and wisdom does not fit with your old way of life. Your job or lifestyle no longer satisfies you. A desire to change the way you live or work builds up inside.

Your new knowledge and understanding often leads to the realisation that you can no longer live as you have done in the past.

As your knowledge and understanding continues to grow you start to get clarity about what you need to do.

You realise you need to make changes. But this can be uncomfortable or even scary for many people. So rather than make changes, they try to go back to how things were. They try to put things back into the boxes, but of course, things don’t fit anymore. This can be very unsettling and even feel chaotic.

Be Curious

You develop a heightened sense of curiosity about life, the world, and your own inner workings. You seek to understand the underlying truths and meaning behind your experiences.

Be Open-Minded

You become more open-minded and receptive to new ideas and perspectives. You actively seek out diverse viewpoints and are willing to challenge your own beliefs.

Desire Growth

There is a strong desire for personal growth and self-improvement. You actively engage in activities and practices that foster your development.

Embrace Change

Change is no longer feared but embraced as an opportunity for learning and growth. You become more adaptable and resilient in the face of life’s challenges.

Deepen your Spiritual Exploration

The Awakening stage often includes a spiritual exploration. You may seek to connect with a higher purpose or explore spiritual practices that resonate with you.

Challenges of a Seeker

Overwhelmed by Information

As a seeker, you often find yourself diving into various sources of knowledge and information. This can sometimes lead to feeling overwhelmed by the sheer volume of material available. Take your time to digest and integrate what resonates with you.

You Might Struggle with Decision-Making

With so many paths and philosophies to explore, making decisions about what to study or where to invest your time and energy can be challenging. Remember that it’s okay to prioritize what truly resonates with your journey.

You Could Encounter False Gurus

Be aware that not everyone offering guidance is genuinely experienced or ethical. In your quest for knowledge, you may come across individuals who present themselves as experts but lack the wisdom you seek. Use discernment and seek mentors wisely.

You May Feel a Desire to Share New Knowledge

It’s natural to want to share the newfound wisdom and insights you’ve gained. However, be mindful not to impose your beliefs on others. Respect that everyone’s journey is unique, and not everyone may be ready for the knowledge you’ve acquired.

You Could Experience a Desire for More Meaning

As your understanding expands, you might begin to feel dissatisfied with aspects of your life that no longer align with your evolving beliefs. This can create a longing for deeper meaning and purpose.

You May Grapple with Information Overload

Seekers often consume a vast amount of information but may struggle to apply it practically. Balance the acquisition of knowledge with practical application to integrate your learning into wisdom.

Tips to move from Seeker to Liminality

Reflect and Set Intentions

Take time to reflect on your journey and what you’ve learned so far. Set clear intentions for the future, both personally and spiritually. What kind of life do you envision for yourself?

Vision Board

Create a vision board that represents your aspirations and goals. Use images, words, and symbols that resonate with your vision for the future. This visual representation can serve as a daily reminder of your goals.

Journaling

Start a journal to explore your thoughts, desires, and inspirations. Write about the changes you want to make in your life and why they are important to you. Journaling can help clarify your vision.

Meditation and Visualization

Incorporate meditation and visualization techniques into your daily practice. Spend time visualizing the future you desire, allowing yourself to feel the emotions associated with that vision.

Identify What to Release

Begin identifying aspects of your current life or mindset that no longer align with your vision. This may include old habits, limiting beliefs, or relationships that no longer serve you.

Letting Go Ceremony

Consider performing a symbolic letting go ceremony. Write down what you wish to release on pieces of paper and burn them or release them into flowing water. This can help you mentally and emotionally release the past.
